Calling all Music Makers

Do you love music? Do you want to develop your playing or give new instruments a try? Fancy learning how to DJ or create your own flows? Want to jam and collaborate with likeminded music makers?

If the answer to any of these is Yes then get yourself to the New Noise Music Centre! New Noise Music Centre is a space for young people aged 14-16 to experiment across a range of instruments and music-making techniques. Held at Future Yard on Saturday mornings, the New Noise Music Centre is all about exploring the music that young people love, across a range on genres.

The New Noise project is all about exploring the music that young people love, across a range of genres, including rock, pop, electronic, hip hop, rap, jazz and everything in between.

Held at Future Yard on Saturday mornings, the New Noise Music Centre will include:

– Large group sessions focussed on guitar, bass, drums, keys and vocals
– Small group jams to explore composition, collaboration and performance
– DJ workshops
– Rap, MC and lyric writing sessions
– Regular performance opportunities and a huge end of term show at Future Yard!

Participants are encouraged to try as many disciplines as possible, with an opportunity to focus on a particular instrument ahead of a live show at Future Yard at the end of term. Complete beginners and experienced players are all welcome. All we ask is you come with an openness to collaborate, try new things and make some noise!
