Dealing with stress…

Stress is a natural human response to challenges and pressure, but excessive or prolonged stress can negatively impact both physical and mental well-being.

 This is a normal feeling.

Exams can be stressful due to the combination of perceived pressure, uncertainty and high stakes involved.

 It is normal to feel some stress about upcoming tests, exams, paper or presentations. A small amount of stress can challenge you and make you work harder. Exam stress becomes problematic when it interferes with your ability to perform to achieve your academic and learning goals.

 Here are some tips the young reporters have come up with to help with stress.

·         Right amount of sleep

·         Take breaks

·         Meditate, relaxation

·         Distraction strategies

·         Speak to someone

·         Eat healthy

·         Exercise

·         Set goals

·         Have a plan

 

If you give some of the tips a try and they don’t work try ask for help.
