Are you a budding songwriter or performer under 18 looking to get experience in front of an audience? Indigo is proud to present an open mic night just for you! Just bring yourself and your instrument. Resident Indigo music teacher Phil Gemmell will be there to host, help you set up, and answer any questions – and remember, let anyone you think might be interested know!

                                                  
Watercolour Painting For Beginners

Learn the essentials of watercolour painting techniques and apply to a new beautiful design each month. Lead by an experienced art tutor who will guide you every step of the way, basic materials are provided however you are welcome to bring your own. Learn with friends, make new ones and find your creativity in a supportive environment. Indigo are part of the UK-wide Chatty café scheme. Come on over for a natter, all are welcome!! We have a lovely chitter-chatter volunteer stationed at every Thursday event - so the conversations will never stop! Open for all, with a free tea or coffee for anyone who pops in looking for some chatting! Make sure to spread the word to people you think might enjoy! Indigo is looking for volunteers to attend these sessions and help keep them lively and friendly – if this sounds like you, get in touch!

Guitar Club

A place for guitarists (acoustic and electric) and bassists to come together and learn songs as a group. Chords and music are provided via a Facebook group for players to have a go at before (not mandatory) and then come together and practice the song. All abilities are welcome as it’s all about learning together and getting to know other musicians in the area. Printed music and acoustic guitars can be provided.

Mike from Wirral Forest CIC leads a walk from our cosy café down to the Mersey River and back. This is perfect for those looking for that little push to spend more time outside in nature and giving themselves a little ‘me-time’ each week!

Whether you are a seasoned pro performer, or looking to perform for the very first time, these evenings offer one of the warmest welcomes possible.  We have a lamp-lit cafe, a fantastic host and loads of great acts. It can be so difficult to find time to exercise as a mum so we've developed fun dance based exercise classes you can bring your babies and toddlers to. They can play whilst you dance or once they're walking they can even join in the party! 

                                                    
Boardgame Afternoon

Chef is passionate about two things, food and boardgames. So, we've created an afternoon where we can eat food and play boardgames. If you and a group of mates fancied trying out Root, want to borrow our version of Codenames or delve into a Carcassonne campaign... the Third Sunday every month at Indigo is definitely the place to do it. Netrunner is an asymmetric card game for 2 players, set in a dystopian cyberpunk future where megacorporations control almost every aspect of daily life. We host monthly learn to play events for anyone that wants to try out this wonderful game but hasn't had anyone to learn with.

Santa has said he'll stop by at Indigo again! Just for the day! Come along to our Christmas Grotto and spend some time with all our Christmas characters. At the end of the day - the person with the best dress up will be emailed an Indigo Voucher!! £5 per family. What's coming next?
30 Days of Yoga
Event Info

 We will be sharing a short Yoga practice to do at home each day. Then, once a week we will meet at Indigo for a longer practice, with a cuppa after. Made up of a group of regular Indigo Yoga-ites. This group was requested by busy people who wanted to add a small, manageable, Yoga practice to their daily routine. If this sounds like you, get involved!

Book Club

Team Indigo would love to start a book club to meet in the same room as Hot Cholocate Club! We are looking for someone to host and organise this – get in touch if you are interested. It would meet at the café every other week and would be a place for silent reading, discussion, social time and friendship all rolled into one!

 

Kids Craft Club!

Indigo are looking for somebody to hold a regular kid’s craft club. Get in touch if this sounds like something you’d like get involved in!

If you have an idea you would like to run in our event space upstairs, or down in the Snug, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We have oodles of space still and a million unexplored ideas!


                                        
Finding us
Our address is 136 Bedford Road, we are fully accessible in the Cafe and Snug.
Rock Ferry train station is 2 minutes walk up the road from us, and so are several bus stops.
There is a very handy carpark behind the Indigo building as well.
Our what three words for the cafe location are waddled.hammer.sock and for the carpark is native.tapes.locals.
