Do something Life Changing this summer with NCS
THE EXPERIENCE THAT TURNS NO YOU CAN’T INTO NO WE CAN
Designed specially for 16 and 17 year olds, the NCS experience will give you a clearer idea of what you want from your future turning all those ‘No You Cant’s’ into No We Can.
We exist to engage, unite and empower young people, building your confidence so you can go out there and achieve your dreams, no matter where you’re from or what your background is. You’ll spend two weeks in the summer mixing with a new crowd, taking part in outward bound activities and taking on fresh challenges together. Before you know it, you’ll be rooting for each other, as you all tackle your own little hurdles. Along the way, you’ll also get a taste for independence and pick up skills that’ll help you smash your future goals.
And if that’s not enough for you, you’ll also be given a platform to get your voice heard and pursue a passion project to create a positive, lasting impact in your local community.
Why not give it a go!
Who's it for
16-17 year olds living in the North West.
What is it?
NCS is a youth programme that runs every summer and autumn, during school holidays. The experience is all about emboldening young people, by giving them the buzz of being an adult (without all the responsibilities). On NCS, participants get a taste for independence. They mix with a new crowd of people and take on exciting challenges together. The experience helps young people to develop skills that will set them up for life after school.
Participants then get a chance to use these new-found skills, by tackling a passion project of their choosing. NCS is dedicated to providing a platform for young people where they can speak up, get their voice heard and tackle real-world issues close to home.
The experience might last just a few weeks, but the impact? That lasts a lot longer. Since day one, in 2011, nearly 600,000 young people have taken part in NCS, completing over 14.5 million hours of community action, and gaining priceless life experiences.
