Eurofest Liverpool is here!

Eurovision has landed in Liverpool - love it or hate it we are excited to say our region has been chosen to support Ukraine host this years event. There is a lot of excitement and plenty of events to get involved with.

EuroFestival 2023 runs between the 1st - 14th May

These “2 weeks of art, culture and powerful messages will be exciting, thought-provoking, and full of art and culture that matters”.

The festival will run in the two weeks leading up to the final of Eurovision on 14th May. It is presenting 24 brand new art commissions – 19 of which are collaborations between Ukrainian and UK artists. Events are city wide and will “transform the city as fans from across the world descend on Liverpool”.

Art is for all, and Liverpool is well known for putting on amazing events. Eurofest promises to be no exception.

Enjoy museum visits, art, poetry, music, Ukrainian folklore, and see how many of the giant Ukrainian Song Birds you can find around the city.

Watch the opening parade on Friday 5th May - The Blue and Yellow Submarine Parade by The Kazimier is a huge outdoor underwater sea disco which will make its way through the city to kickstart the Eurovision Party. Working with UK and Ukrainian designers, musicians and community groups, expect hundreds of performers, incredible music and a huge glitterball jellyfish.

For those of you who would prefer a ‘quieter’ event you could try listening to stories on your own headphones via smart phone as part of the immersive audio experience by Fire and Rage - including “music concerts in metro stations during air raids, smuggling artwork out of cities as rockets fall, and creating subversive street art”.

Make your Eurovision experience one to remember and go and see what Liverpool has to offer.
