Never too late to address your stress
April is Stress Awareness Month, so before it ends next weekend we thought we would let you know. #actnow
Stress is part of our everyday lives and actually helps us to get stuff done. However, if it becomes too big it can also feel overwhelming. Stress can cause frustration, worry, panic, fear, and feelings of helplessness.
Everyone will have their own ways of relaxing, you might like films or books or gaming or fishing or basketball or knitting or painting or meditating….. the list is literally endless. It doesn’t matter what you do, what matters is that you enjoy it and you do it regularly.
Exams are looming.
This can be a very stressful time for young people so it’s important for your physical and emotional health that you get the right balance of stress and down time.
Stress needs to kept under control so find the ways that work for you and relax.
Routines help us to manage our time energy and stress levels, try and get good food and good sleep - especially in the lead up to exams.
Balance is key. You wont get good results if you don’t do any work, but equally if you don’t have any relaxation time you can risk burnout, sleepiness and poor memory recall.
