Youth Photography Competition

A Youth Photography Competition is being held by Holocaust Memorial Day Trust for young people aged 25 or under, they want you to send them a photo that finishes the sentence ‘One Day...’. The best photos will be displayed in an exclusive exhibition launching in January 2022.

  • A selection of the best photos will form part of an exclusive exhibition to be displayed at a central London location in January 2022 for Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD)

  • The four most outstanding photos will win an Instax Mini camera

Anyone aged 25 or under can take part in the One Day photography competition, regardless of experience. Simply take a photo on your phone or digital camera which finishes the sentence ‘One Day…’ and explain how it relates to our theme. Send it in by 5 December to be in with a chance of winning.

Theme

The theme for Holocaust Memorial Day 2022 – One Day – looks to the past, present and future. We learn more about mistakes from the past, celebrate individual identities today, and take action for a future free from identity-based hostility. You can read more about our theme here.

How to take part

  1. Download there Creative Guidance for ideas and tips to help you capture a great photo!

  2. Make sure you read our guidelines and criteria before submitting your photo to be sure that it meets the requirements

  3. Use your phone or a digital camera to take a photo with a title that finishes the sentence ‘One day…’

  4. Submit your photo and title, and up to 100 accompanying words to describe the image and why you took it

Four outstanding entries will receive an Instax Mini camera & film pack.
