Are you year 4,5 or 6?
If your in school years 4, 5 or 6 you may be thinking about high school choices.
Secondary schools will be inviting young people and their parents or carers in to have a look around and get a feel for their school. Try to visit at least 2 or 3 to be able to compare and contrast.
Tips to look out for when visiting possible schools
First impressions count. Does it feel welcoming and like a secure and happy place?
Chat with the students that are helping out; find out their thoughts and feelings about school
Do the teachers chat and interact well with you?
Look at how the school will cater for your child’s needs.
