National Youth Work Week
November 6th marks the beginning of this years National Youth Work Week, and this year, we're celebrating it by spotlighting the exceptional youth workers and the active participation of young people in Wirral's youth work projects.
Throughout the week, we will be sharing a variety of articles, posts, and videos that showcase the range and nature of youth work and its impact on the lives of young people. We'll also explore the exciting career prospects it offers for those eager to engage in this field.
To kick off this celebration, take a moment to view this video from the National Youth Agency (NYA), which beautifully encapsulates the essence of National Youth Work Week and its significance.
Youth Work Week 2023 will take place from Monday 6 to Sunday 12 November 2023. The theme this year is youth work in every place and space. It's our opportunity to show decision-makers and celebrate with our peers the variety of youth work taking place in different locations and contexts.
The annual Youth Work Week event, hosted by the National Youth Agency, aims to raise awareness of the life-changing difference youth workers have on young people aged between 8 - 25 years of age. This year Youth Work Week is focussing on the breadth of youth work taking place across the country: in youth centres, hospitals, outdoor activity centres, cultural spaces and so much more.
Youth Work Week is a chance to raise awareness of the difference youth work makes to young people, providing them with somewhere to go, something fun to do, the chance to make new friends, learn new skills and receive the support of a trusted adult.
