Wirral’s Young People Shine at the 2025 Zillo Youth Awards
New Brighton, Wirral – The Floral Pavilion was alive with energy and celebration last night as the 2025 Zillo Youth Awards honoured Wirral’s most inspiring young people.
This year, over 130 young people from across Wirral were nominated for their outstanding contributions to their communities. From this incredible group, 50 young people were shortlisted to take part in the grand finale, where their achievements were celebrated in front of family, friends, and community leaders.
More than just an awards ceremony, the night was about recognising the talent, resilience, kindness, and passion of young people across the region. Every nominee was a winner, and the awards focused on uplifting, empowering, and inspiring.
A Night of Celebration and Inspiration
The event was put together and hosted by the Zillo Young Reporters—a team of talented young people who worked tirelessly for weeks behind the scenes to create a memorable and exciting night. Their dedication and teamwork ensured that the night truly belonged to Wirral’s young people.
One of the standout moments of the evening came from local poet Joseph Roberts, who blew the audience away with his powerful and inspiring poetry. His words captured the spirit of the evening, celebrating the strength, resilience, and achievements of young people. His performance was a truly moving moment that had the entire room captivated.
The biggest moment of the night came when the audience selected Charlotte Pollard as Zillo Young Person of the Year for her outstanding community work, including tackling period poverty, supporting assisted living initiatives, and leading projects to bring different generations together.
A Zillo Youth spokesperson said:
